It's not often that a creative deck comes to us chalk full of Goddard and Fellini references. The minute we saw it we simply had to work with the creative team over at Fallon and so were over the moon when we were selected. What a dream of a team and dream of a job. It was a blast working with Kristyna Archer and the folks at FF Creative on this shoot, which focuses on women in tech and gaming! True to the campaign's theme, we had an all female-led team on this shoot. These overhead shots were an especially cool challenge to tackle, and we're so proud of the result!
Mikela and Jilian Goza are twins, and they are as fun to shoot with as they are lovely. This shoot was inspired by the mod fashion and design of the 1960s. Felix & Pearl aimed to create album-art worthy images of these twins popping in and out of this simple and colorful set.
This campaign was an absolute dream job in many ways. We were so fortunate to be brought on produce this mega-project with genius multimedia artist and photographer, Leila Fakouri! The team at Widen+Kennedy Portland became like family during the three+ months of brainstorming and excecution of this project, which gained a ton of critical acclaim upon its release! This project was carried out during the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic, just after the shutdown was lifted in Los Angeles. Each of these toys is featured in a real physical custom decorated box that was built by a small team of incredible artists and miniature-fabricators, and photographed meticulously over the course of a multi-day shoot with a small crew. The post-production team, also headed by Leila, worked miracles to retouch and animate these vignettes on an unbelieveably tight timeline. It's one of our proudest acheivements as a company, and we feel so honored to have been a part of this incredible feat!
Finding 13 locations in San Fransisco was a whirlwind but what a reward to get to shoot in a building designed by Frank Lloyd Wright! The team at W+K Shanghai was so wonderful to work with!

This collection was inspired by the work of George Hurrell, who took some of the earliest Hollywood glamour portraits, which he lit dramatically with tungsten fresnels often against simple white walls. These beautiful models brought fresh energy to an old technique!
What a beautiful two days shooting at a gorgeous home once owned by Marlon Brando and also down at the beach! We had a great team with Jerry Schwartz on Prodcution Design and Leah Adicoff on Wardrobe Styling.
Jesse Marble can make magic out of out any circumstance. It is amazing what she can do with just a little fabric in the desert.

It was so much fun to work with In Good Co., tWitch, the Versa-Style Dance Company, Kelli Erdmann, and Yuri on this heartwarming dance-forward viral TikTok ad campaign!

Felix & Pearl's throwback style checks all of our boxes. This shoot was inspired by Hollywood portraits of the 1930s using time-honored fresnel lighting. Model Chris Stephens was such a love to have on set, and really nailed the energy.
The synergy is always magic when Designlovefest and Jesse Chamberlin Marble put there heads together. Add in WIllie the Swan and you have an all star shoot!

This shoot is part of a larger study on the transistions of life. Annalise, our model, is 11 years old and experiencing the moment of transistion from childhood to maidenhood. This is such a beautiful time in a woman's life and this was a very special day for her and her mother!
Our first shoot with Gorman (Summer) was such a dream we couldn't wait to get the band back together and do it again! Have we mentioned how much we love a traveling shoot?!

It's amazing when we get to work with people we admire to promote products we believe in! Stephanie Gonot is a genius, and her vibe on set is always the chillest. Ritual Vitamins is a super hip company that makes obsessively developed women's vitamins that smell great and are pretty to look at! Great team, great shoot!

This shoot, an homage to naïve art, was nspired by Pearl's grandfather's colorful and imaginiteive work. An Italian immigrant with a thrid-grade education, Felice didn't begin painting until he was in his fifties. One of his still-life peices is featured in this series, and was reproduced at a large scale for the backdrop by the indomidable production designer, Chloe Kirk.

Shooting out in Santa Clarita has always been something we've enjoyed. It's close, but it feels like a million miles away from Los Angeles. We were stoked when Fiorella asked us to produce this peice with her, shot all on 8mm and 16mm. Check out the editorial film she shot this day as well!
Adi Goodrich and Sean Pecknold of Sing Sing always bring such an original and amazing eye to every project. When Zendesk rebranded their company using simple shapes to express the mutiple ways they work with their clients, Sing Sing personified each shape using large cut outs for their campaign. The results are whimsical and perfect.

We are obsessed with Marrow's innovative designs and in love with their total willingness to push the boundaries with this shoot. With Art Direction by our very own Anabella Casanova and Photography by Jesse Marble this was bound to be a smash hit.
With Art Direction by Jessica Walsh of Sagmeister & Walsh, and Photography, Set and Wardrobe Design by Sing Sing, this campaign for Aïzone, the undisputed fashion and luxury products market leader in Lebanon, was bound to be extraordinary. Check out the BTS video to get a sense of the scope of the project. It’s always a good day when there is a pink horse on set.
We loved digging into this fanciful world with production designer Kaitlyn Darby. It was such a fun day when 20 boxes of Hello Kitty plushy dolls arrived in the mail!
We always get a kick out of working with kids on set, and nobody does it better than The Marbles! This was a fun job to scout for, as we got to tour several schools in the greater Los Angeles area. These kids were hilarious, and the yoghurt was actually pretty tasty... maybe a little too tasty actually.

DDB Agency and folks at Capital One came to Kristyna with a request for a bunch of GIFs that spanned a broad range of creative scenarios. This was only a two-day in-studio shoot with multiple set-ups being shot at the same time. It was a fun fast-paced challenge, and we had a great time making it happen!
Shooting at the Stahl House was a dream. There is no more iconic location in Los Angeles!

Have you ever been in a room with $40,000.00 worth of weed? Because we have! This was an amazing crew and such a strange, fun shoot. We would expect nothing less from Viceland.
Approached by Headspace to create content for the launch of their 'Mini-Meditations' campaign, Vacation Theory worked with director photographers, Adi Goodrich and Sean Pecknold (Sing Sing Studio, Inc.) to produce 21 video segments and 21 accompanying stills. Headspace is a digital health platform used by over 2 million people, that provides guided meditation sessions and mindfulness training. Its mission is "to make meditation accessible, relevant and beneficial to as many people as possible."
We simply adored shooting these rich colors and what is definitely the coolest manicure we have had on set. There's nothing like a modern twist on a classic beauty.
Vibrant sets, a super cool product, and an amazing VFX job make this spot one of our favorites we have made so far. It is always more fun when agencies have an edgy vision for a project and Sid Lee Los Angeles is one of the best. When they reached out to us for this, we couldn't think of a better fit to direct this than the amazing Jimmy Marble. Check out the commercial spots in our motion section.
We love creating immersive sets, and with three fully connected, enormous, color blocked worlds, this shoot was such a fun challenge! Also, the Uber team could not have been better to work with. Check out our motion section for the video portion.
The epitome of what we like to call slow fashion, Little Tienda's gorgeous clothing is hand loomed and bought directly from the families that make it. With creative direction by Bri Emery over at Designlovefest and Photography by Jesse Chamberlin Marble this shoot was as beautiful a day as the images that came from it.

We love Ban.Do! What an amazing day this was shooting beautiful ladies in an incredible location with the coolest clients, and two of the raddest photographers/favorite humans we get to work with, Jimmy Marble and Jesse Chamberlin.
This was our second shoot with this incredible team and what a two for two for fun! We got to actually partake of the road trip we show in the images and caravanned with the crew out to the Trona Pinnacles in Death Valley shooting the whole way up and back.

This shoot was the basis for a complete rebranding, international campaign for the Brazilian soap and deodorant giant, Leite de Rosas. We spent three weeks in Rio de Janeiro building this shoot from the ground up with Sea Chant and the Leite de Rosas creative team. The campaign made big waves in the Brazilian media, as it featured same-sex and interracial couples. We are very proud to have played a part in helping to make a hugely progressive step forward for this traditional heritage soap brand.

A twelve location shoot with five talent in Palm Springs in 115 degree heat you say? We can make it happen we say! This was a wild and wonderful ride.
There is nothing we love more than the challenge of bringing creative work together on a time crunch! While on holiday in Brazil over Christmas break we received an email from the super talented Kristyna Archer requesting we help put a proposal together for her. 12 days later we were shooting! It was possible only thanks to the amazing team that came on to help us bring it all together. Check out the broadcast commercial in the Motion section of our site!
This was our first opportunity to work with Photographer Ryan Schude who has long been one of our favorites. The preparation and specificity that go into his work feel as much like film making as photography; he brings a whole world to life. The good folks at Udi's Gluten Free and Made Movement were so much fun to work with, trusting in the amazing creative vision that Ryan always brings to life. And it was our first entirely gluten-free set!
We love it when client wants to elevate a relatable space with a super bold color vision twist. Working in two tones with cut outs created a super clean and graphic look for this fun still series.
This was one of our favorite shoots for location scouting yet! We love shooting out of town and this awesome collaboration with Swift Agency required the most amazing garden tour of Portland. Thank you to former Garden Club of America president, Pat Wall for pointing us in the right direction!

'Sol and Kelly', an editorial passion project for photographers Adi Goodrich and Sean Pecknold (Sing Sing Studio, Inc), was produced by Vacation Theory as an homage to artists Sol LeWitt and Ellsworth Kelly, two Godfathers of Minimalism, Conceptual Art and Color Field Painting. Sean and Adi’s focused for this shoot on the dynamic relationship between shape, form and color.
Fiorella Occhipinti has an incredible eye for the classical romantic image. In this Editorial we produced with her for Elegant Magazine she explores the relationship of two young actors thrust into an intimacy racing against the clock. There is a certain magic that is created when a team works on a film together; bonds that form incredibly fast and deep. When the film is over and reality returns, sometimes heart get broken.
